Because I just found out that Milt Franklyn, composer of many of Looney Tunes' musical scores, was born on this day, I can retroactively dedicate this next one to him...

From the pages of the Otago Witness, New Zealand's local paper of record: After a long retirement the jury in the Looneys' case found them guilty of shooting without intent. The original charge of attempted murder, in which Mr. Fudd and Mr. Bunny were both accessories, was dropped to a lesser charge when the victim, Mr. Duck, showed up in court appearing not to have suffered any detrimental effects from being shot directly in the face.
