From the pages of the Otago Witness - Dunedin, New Zealand's local paper of record: The Central Otago Brass Bands was held at Alexandra on the 15th and 16th inst., and is described by the Alexandra Herald as a "gigantic success" despite the "wet frock contest," described by many as "not as exciting as it promised to be."
