The third mayor of Vancouver Frederick Cope dies while attending the Yukon Gold Rush. When his body is found a year later, it is transported back to Vancouver where there is a bit of a mix-up. His body is mistaken for American con-artist Soapy Smith's which is on the same vessel. It would become Soapy's greatest con of them all, and for his efforts he received a really nice funeral.
